Overview
New York Mets 1967 Team Highlight film goes through the entire season of change in '67 including the hiring of Gil Hodges during the off season to help guide the Mets in the right direction and making them contenders for the first time in the National League. Includes a look at the Mets Instructional League and player development led by Whitey Herzog bringing up future MLB stars like Nolan Ryan and Steve Renko and includes footage from New York and the Draft with #1 draft pick for the Yankees Ron Bloomberg as the Mets get what they wanted in Jon Matlack. Rookie Year for Tom Seaver in '67 as he goes on to win Rookie of the Year Includes Seaver press conference in his first game as a NY Met.
